Dani Star to be Grand Marshall in 2010 Santa Claus Parade!
Here comes the COOL NEWS:
I say COOL NEWS because it will be cool playing music outside in November (in both senses of the word).
I`ve been selected to be Grand Marshall in the 2010 Santa Claus Parade.
This role means I will lead the parade - on the very first float, AND…
Even better, I will have THE PLANETS with me, so we`ll be rockin the front of the PARADE, as a band – on the float, playing for all the wonderful people and children of the city. I`ve never jammed on a moving trailer that was in a parade, so I`m stacked about it. Hopefully the driver keeps er` nice and steady, and doesn`t have a lead foot. Cause then we`d be floppin all around. Fingers crossed.
The parade is November 13th 2010, in DOWNTOWN Greater Sudbury.
Starts at 5:30pm.

***In this picture of THE PLANETS, taken in September 2010 – we`re actually playing music on a trailer; only…this trailer was PARKED, i.e. not being towed down the road behind a truck. Maybe that was the Universe`s way of preparing us. Step 1 – learn to play music on a wobbly trailer.
Check.
Step 2 – play music on wobbly trailer, being towed down the road by an unknown person, who, by sneezing – could stomp a foot, sending us on a direct flight back to the safety of the ground – and landing on people.
I promise that if we survive this, I`ll relate the tale…
